In this class, for our final project, we put together a poster and a video containing grammar and info that we learned all through out the semester. My group worked together to come up with a story idea, write a script, and act out all of the different parts. The purpose of the video project was to display our knowledge and understanding of the materials that we were taught through the semester. We talked about the proper way to enter a room, where we were supposed to apologize for any disturbance we might have caused when entering and leaving a room. We also spoke about the three different types of Keigo, what situation they are appropriate for and who they should be used with. I had a little understanding of Keigo before this class, but it was really amazing to learn more in depth about them and the different types. I would like to get a greater grasp of the nuances involved with Keigo, the Japanese Language overall, and proper Japanese etiquette. In order to continue my learning and understanding of the Japanese Language and Keigo I intend to try and use it as much as possible; and to also use it while I study abroad.
