Course Description:
This course aims to develop an advanced level of academic communication through the formulation of research questions on linguistic and cultural topics, using appropriate research methods and critical thinking skills. Students utilize a variety of information sources to investigate, organize, and analyze the information. Taught in Japanese. MLO4
Reflective Narrative:
This class was an integral part of my capstone process. This class helped us decide on who to parter with, and from there find a topic that we were mutually interested in that also had a basis in our previous academic history. Once our topic was decided one, we then had to decide what about that topic we wanted to learn, and then formulate research question based on that. We had the help of our peers and the guidance from our teachers to help us polish our questions, and then continued on to doing research. For this, we went to the library and were given a tutorial on how best to do research using the library resources effectively. Thanks to this, we were able to put together our capstone's literature review and put together the structure of how our presentation was going to be.
