Reflective Narrative
In this class I learned a lot about the history and culture involved in Japanese literature. We read some of the most famous pieces of Japanese literature in history, Such as The Tale of Genji and The Pillow Book. Also, learning about when and how these stories were written, we were able to get a glimpse into Japanese historical culture, which ties into my Major and many of the Japanese culture courses that I have taken. Something that I especially loved about this course was getting to read about Japanese Mythology and Youkai, which I find very interesting. I would like to learn more about Japanese Youkai in the future. For this course, I and my fellow students wrote a series of papers, which culminated into a final paper, which can be found below. JAPN 309 Meets MLO2 culture requirements.
