Courses Taken:
Study Abroad- Fall 2016/ Spring 2017
5.1
During my time studying abroad, I was able to have many amazing and memorable experiences in Japanese. While there, I made friends with several of the local cafe owners and would use every opportunity that i had to try and converse with them in Japanese. Simply having the chance to live there, I was able to be immersed in Japanese culture, as I was living in Kyoto, which is an area rich in Japanese tradition. Being able to walk through the neighborhoods, go grocery shopping in the local area, and learn shortcuts for getting around that only a local would know, I was able to truly experience Japanese life. I took many pictures while I was there, and some of them are displayed Here, in my Flikr album.
